Winter Season is here Scottsdale country club

It is hard to believe that we are in the middle of the winter season here at Scottsdale country club with the warm temperatures that we are seeing throughout the past few weeks. As you can imagine this only helps increase the level of member participation in all areas of the Scottsdale country club.

I’d like to share the results of our recent Scottsdale country club election and to welcome this year’s Scottsdale country club Board of Directors. We have two new directors joining the board this year; Priscilla Johnson and Bob Kline who have all been elected to three-year terms. In addition, Ron Kruse and Janet Pennewell were elected to an additional two years on the Board which will take us through the construction phase of our expansion project which is still slated to begin in late May.

For the coming year, your Scottsdale country club President will be Ron Kruse, who will be entering his second and final year in this position. The continuity in having Ron and Janet continue their service on the board will help us immensely as we enter into an exciting time at DC Ranch.

As Ron reviewed at the Country Club Scottsdale annual meeting, some of our main goals for 2018 are as follows:

• Keeping Phase II on time and on budget
• Selecting a provider of financing for the Country Club Scottsdale project
• Achieving the business plan and member satisfaction despite the Country Club Scottsdale construction
• Hiring a Country Club Scottsdale fitness director to develop new programs and guide equipment selection/layout
• Enhancing Country Club Scottsdale golf events, course improvement and Training• Continuing the growth of tennis participation and programs
• Continuing new member integration despite construction
• Maintaining food and beverage results despite construction

As I stated at the Country Club Scottsdale Annual Meeting, I truly believe that we are in a solid position with an experienced leadership team, a strong financial position, and an engaged and supportive membership. All of these factors will generate a buzz in the market as we aim to achieve even higher levels in 2018 and beyond. From a rules standpoint, I want to once again remind everyone of the need to make a reservation in our dining room, especially during our dinner service, as well as adhering to the Club’s dress code as we enter into our busiest months of the year. This is especially important with all of the guest activity that typically takes place during the next four months. We will continue to closely manage these two areas so please make sure that you and your guests understand the rules in advance of using the Club.

With all of this being said, we look forward to a busy next few months and know that you will enjoy all that our team has planned during this time. The calendar is packed with a number of golf, tennis and social events for your enjoyment so please make it a point to be here as much as possible!
