Scottsdale Golf Club Pool Guidelines

Scottsdale Golf Club survived another season. Scottsdale Golf Clublike to thank each and every one of you for another Scottsdale Golf Club great season. The Scottsdale Golf Club calendar was jam packed with exciting events for all to enjoy and if you had half as much fun as I did, I’d say you had a pretty successful season as well. To those of you who will be traveling this summer, I hope you have a safe and enjoyable time. We will miss you here at the Scottsdale Private Golf Club. And to those of you staying here, get ready for a fun, HOT Scottsdale Private Golf club summer on the Scottsdale Golf Club ranch. We are going to have fun nights planned for you throughout the summer to help get you out of the heat. Be on the lookout for those details.

With summer right around the corner and the Scottsdale Golf Club pool to soon become the place to be, I would like to take a minute to address some recent Scottsdale Golf Club pool issues. . Please also keep in mind the Scottsdale Private Golf club dress code at the pool. According to the Scottsdale Private Golf club Board approved dress code, ladies must wear full coverage bottoms. We ask that you help us by enjoying the facilities within the guidelines set by the Scottsdale Private Golf club Board of Directors. Please be aware of the change in hours as we transition into our summer schedule. Starting May 1st, the Clubhouse and pool will be closed on Monday’s. We will offer lunch in the Clubhouse Tuesday through Sunday and dinner service Wednesday through Sunday. Another transition we will make is the move of the continental breakfast.

Continental breakfast will now be served at the pool Tuesday through Sunday. Please enjoy a cup of coffee and a muffin while you relax in the quiet pool atmosphere.

Scottsdale Private Golf New Tennis Facility!!

It’s the month of May at Scottsdale Private Golf already!! Before we go there, however, a quick look back at the past few months. On behalf of our entire Scottsdale Private Golf employee team, thank you for what has been another great ‘peak season’ on the Scottsdale Private Golf Ranch. Many of you are saying goodbye for the summer months and we wish you the best until we see you again in the Fall. We do hope that all of you, snowbirds and year round

Scottsdale Private Golf Members, have enjoyed this season, as I know we have enjoyed….trying to exceed your expectations. Just think, this time last year, Scottsdale Private Golf Club construction was just getting started on the clubhouse renovation. Oh, what a summer it was but, without question, I think we’d all agree that the effort and expense was worth the end result. Looking forward, we’ll soon (late May) be back in construction mode and hope that you’ll be as pleased with the Scottsdale Golf Club patio expansion, event lawn addition and, of course, the new Scottsdale Golf Club tennis facility when these projects are completed late this summer. A couple of quick story lines that I need to address with this opportunity.
  • Did you know……that, effective May 1st (today!), the Scottsdale Golf Club Complimentary Continental Breakfast will be served poolside in the pool dining room until further notice? Following active discussion at the April Scottsdale Golf Club House Committee meeting that addressed behavior at the continental breakfast, a recommendation was made to scale back the current continental breakfast offering to its previous limited ‘menu’ and relocate to a more appropriate location. The Scottsdale Golf Club House Committee unanimously favored the recommendation and it was subsequently presented to the Board of Directors at their April 20, 2015 meeting where, in short order, the motion to accept the House Committee’s recommendation was unanimously approved.
  • Did you know…...that the Scottsdale Golf Club’s financial picture remains impressive? The April Finance Committee Meeting Minutes include the following statement, “Mr. Kruse (Finance Committee Chair) highlighted the March financial results. Scottsdale Golf Club Rounds continue to exceed both budget and year prior (YTD 9.6% positive variance to budget and 6.4% positive variance to year prior), F&B is closing the gap on the negative variance to budgeted revenues, specifically in Banquets, and Net Profit YTD continues to exceed budget by $95,530 (46.1%) despite the completion of the unbudgeted re-sodding of the practice green and the $48,704 interest expense that was not included in the operating budget. We continue to have strong financial results.” I’ll add the fact that the Club’s Net Profit Profit/Loss After Other Income of $302,776 reflects a positive variance to budget of 46.1% and a positive variance to year prior of 44.4%! All good, right? Speaking of ‘all good’, I have been asked to take this opportunity to provide you with an update on my health.
